Faculty/Directorate

Technicians support laboratory practical work by preparing the required reagents, setting up equipment and providing training where needed on laboratory equipment. They are very much student facing and work with academic colleagues to ensure the students have the best possible experiences in our laboratories to complement their taught studies

.What you will be doing:

You will provide proactive, specialist technical support to deliver the learning and teaching experience for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with practicals in Biology. This includes supporting the maintenance and development of laboratory infrastructure across the school.

Qualifications/ experience:

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a biology related laboratory, outside of education is desirable.
