We are seeking a dynamic, pro-active, and innovative person for the role of Senior Recruitment Events Officer. The successful candidate will lead the planning and operational coordination of a wide variety of on campus and online recruitment events including Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days and HE Visits and will be responsible for the evaluation and continuous improvement of these events to effectively promote the University of Bradford and enable the University to achieve its recruitment targets.
What you will be doing:
- The Senior Recruitment Events Officer will plan, project manage and deliver the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate on campus and online Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days, HE Visits and other Outreach events, working with the Outreach and Recruitment team and Programme Marketing Officers to deliver a quality customer experience and effectively liaising with the Digital Channel Marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns. They will also be responsible for project managing interview days for academic programmes that interview applicants as part of their selection process.
- The role will review the effectiveness of recruitment events, implementing appropriate changes and new innovations to enable increased numbers of attendees, streamlining systems and processes, and enhancing the visitor experience.
- Working closely with Faculty Teams, the Senior Recruitment Events Officer will support with the development of new, innovative, engaging academic sessions for Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days, HE Visits and other on campus events.
- The role will also have line management responsibility for the Recruitment Events Coordinator and Recruitment Events and Marketing Assistant and responsibility for the recruitment, training and supervision of student ambassadors.
- The University operates a hybrid working model, but there is an expectation that individuals are available to work on campus to meet service demand. Therefore, this role will be mainly campus based to ensure a presence for on campus events. A flexible approach to working hours is required as there will be occasional evening and / or weekend work.
Qualifications/ experience:
- BSc/BA degree in Events Management or events management experience
- Experience of working in a marketing or event management role
- Experience of the strategic planning, development delivery and evaluation of small- and large-scale events, targeted at a wide range of audiences
