Faculty

As part of the Faculty of Health studies expansion plans, the School of Nursing and Healthcare leadership are growing our range of pre-registration nursing programmes. We are developing exciting, innovative curricula drawing expertise from across the Faculty’s research areas of dementia and digital health, and the schools’ subject expertise of healthcare leadership, health inequalities, improving communities and people’s health and Nursing practice.

What you will be doing:

  • Academic Leadership consistent with programme level responsibilities
  • Building the school’s reputation through effective engagement with stakeholders
  • Delivering teaching, learning and assessment on undergraduate and post-graduate programmes
  • Working with students as a personal academic tutor and roles aligned to the NMC (2023) standards for student supervision and assessment.
  • Working collaboratively, with team members, the University, students, and other stakeholders to ensure teaching and curricula are contemporary, interesting and promote academic stretch. 
  • Undertaking scholarship, which furthers your career as an academic, ensure you maintain currency as an educator and maintain professional registration.
  • Undertaking appropriate professional development to respond to the changing requirements of the role.

Qualifications/ experience:

  • You will be an NMC registered nurse, with adult field registration or experience in Adult field of Nursing. 
  • You will have a master’s level qualification or above (or be willing to undertake/ be close to completing)
  • You will have contemporary experience of / awareness of national and local influencers on nursing and care.
  • Experience of University based education
