Lecturer in nanotechnology

The SPMS has recently introduced the BSc Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science programme. As an Lecturer in Nanotechnology you will lead teaching pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulation development and manufacturing, and other related subjects on this programme. You will also contribute this and other programme including the MPharm and MSc Pharmaceutical Technology and Medicine Control programmes. Your research in nanotechnology should contribute to the development of delivery systems and related innovations for pharmaceuticals and/or cosmetics. You will be an enthusiastic teacher, with an academic background appropriate to research-informed pharmaceutical and cosmetic science education and the ability and passion to teach from foundation to Masters level. Areas of teaching will include ; pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulation development, processing and packaging, pharmaceutical analysis, regulatory requirements and related subjects. You will work with colleagues to ensure excellent delivery of learning, teaching, assessment, and student experience.  

Your research interests will align with one of the Faculty of Life Sciences Research Themes: the interface between chemistry biology and materials; computation and big data science, Life course (from cells to systems), and Health, Society, People and Place. You will also have an opportunity to be housed in the Centre for Pharmaceutical Engineering Science. 

The post holder will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, with a fully integrated and award-winning Pharmacy degree programme delivered using Team-based Learning which attracts students from a widening participation background.
