We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant team at Unique Fitness.
We are committed to investing in our people. We will fund the essential National Pool Lifeguard and Gym Instructor qualifications for the appointed candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Sports and Fitness Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with lifeguarding swimming sessions
- Carrying out gym inductions, programmes and offering help and advice if required
- Welcome and develop connections with all guests, providing support, assistance and specialist knowledge where required

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Sports and Fitness Assistant:
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (to be achieved within 2 months of probation organisation to fund training)
- Gym Instructor qualification (to be achieved within 2 months of probation organisation to fund training)
- Enthusiastic and committed
- Good customer service and communication skills

Note – the candidate must be a competent swimmer and be willing to obtain the essential qualifications within the specified timeframe. These qualifications will be funded by Unique Fitness.
Competent swimmer criteria include:
- Jump/dive into deep water
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool
- Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits.
